Frequently asked questions

What kinds of videos do you offer?

I offer three main types of video storytelling:

  • Story Montages – A love letter in motion. Crafted to honor loved ones for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, memorials, and more.

  • Family Films – Personal documentaries featuring interviews with your loved ones, capturing laughter, stories, and connection.

  • Highlight Reels – Short, cinematic Instagram-ready reels, often for sports, milestones, or joyful life moments.

What's the process like?
  1. Initial Chat - We’ll start with a call, video chat, or email to talk about your story and what you’re envisioning.

  2. Planning Together - Once we agree to work together, I’ll send you simple, thoughtful interview prompts to help guide what to say — whether it’s for a montage or a full family film. We’ll also gather photos, videos, music, and any special touches you want to include.

  3. Voice Recording - For Legacy Montages, you (and/or your loved ones) can record your responses to the prompts using your phone. It’s simple and keeps things cost-friendly. Just send me the audio file when you’re done.

Prefer something more hands-on? We can schedule a time for me to record your audio responses for you (additional fee applies).

  4. Filming (if needed) - For Lines & Legacies Documentaries, I’ll meet with you and/or your loved ones to film personal interviews.

  5. Editing with Care - I craft your story by hand — no templates — and check in with you along the way for any feedback.

  6. Delivery - You’ll receive a beautifully edited video, ready to download and share.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I want these stories to be accessible to everyone. If cost is a concern, just reach out. I’m happy to work out a flexible payment plan with you.

How long does it take?

It depends on the project:

  • Legacy Montages – Usually 3 to 4 weeks

  • Lines & Legacies Documentaries – 6 to 8 weeks depending on interviews. Some projects may take longer based on scope and story complexity

  • Highlight Reels – Around 1 week

Rush options are available if you’re working with a tight timeline.

How can I contact you?

You can reach out through the Contact page. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

Every story is different, but the heart behind each one is the same. The process is simple, thoughtful, and built around you and your treasured circle. Here’s how I bring your memories to life, with care, clarity, and a little bit of magic.

How are materials stored? Will you keep a copy?

Yes, I keep a backup copy of all finished videos for 6 months in case anything gets lost or you need another version.

Photos, audio recordings, and raw footage are stored temporarily during the editing process and deleted shortly after your final project is delivered, unless we agree otherwise.

If you’d prefer I delete your materials sooner just let me know. You always have full control.

Who owns the rights to the video?

You do. Your story belongs to you.

Lines & Legacies retains the right to use excerpts (with your written permission) for portfolio or promotional purposes, but you’ll always be asked first.

Otherwise, the full rights to your video remain with you and your family.

I'm in the SF Bay Area, can I drop off photos or keepsakes?

Yes! If you’re located in the San Francisco Bay Area and have physical photos or keepsakes that need scanning, we can arrange a free local pickup or drop-off.

Scanning services are available for an added fee — Your items will receive white glove treatment and will be returned safely.
